<p>Kforce is working with a well-known, growing Investment firm in search of a Trading Applications Engineer to join their team in New York and San Francisco. This position is full time, direct hire and on-site (4 days onsite per week). The Trading Application Support Engineer will provide critical technical support to the trading desk and back-office operations specializing in bond/loan trading.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide timely day-to-day support for the trading platform and Business-to-Business integrations </li><li>Work with business users (Traders, PMs, Operations, Analysts, Finance/Compliance professionals, etc.) and perform requirements analysis, application design, and implementation </li><li>Ensure a high standard of SDLC with a focus on automated testing/regression </li><li>Create and maintain professional-level internal knowledge base </li><li>Provide training to business users and new joiners </li><li>Align and add to the culture and overall vision/mission of the team* 3+ years (or the equivalent) of experience working in the financial industry with a deep understanding or strong potential to pick up financial securities, especially bonds and loans </li><li>Experience with Python programming </li><li>Experience maintaining and integrating new work into existing codebases </li><li>Experience with Linux (commands, diagnostics, resolving issues) </li><li>Experience working with Microsoft SSIS and SSRS </li><li>Experience with XML/XPath/XSLT </li><li>Experience with a Trading system; Like Blackrock Aladdin, Charles River </li><li>Experience with portfolio accounting systems like Geneva </li><li>Strong track record of hands-on SQL Server T-SQL </li><li>Possess a strong understanding of financial instruments, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment </li><li>A natural team player, able to collaborate seamlessly to understand and meet requirements </li><li>Able to connect the dots and be proactive toward improving the day-to-day support function </li><li>Must have excellent programming and data management skills, strong verbal/written communication skills </li><li>Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills; Detail-oriented </li><li>Strong cultural fit - teamwork, proactive/self-starter, results-oriented, and integrity </li><li>Have an "Own it!" mindset </li><li>Active Batch, Control-M, Autosys scheduling </li><li>Knowledge of HTTP and web API design </li><li>Prior experience with Everest is strongly desired but not a hard requirement </li></ul>
