<p>Swim Chaperone</p> <p>POSITION TITLE:</p> <p>Swim Chaperone</p> <p>DEPARTMENT: Instruction</p> <p>REPORTS TO:</p> <p>Principal</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY: This position assists with supervision of students participating in Confluence Academies' summer school swimming program in partnership with the YMCA. This position will promote and adhere to the principles of the Safety Around Water (SAW) initiative.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Assist teachers and administrators with preparing students to board the bus for travel to and from designated pool area </li><li>Serve as bus monitor/chaperone while traveling to and from designated pool area </li><li>Serve as chaperone while students participate in swim lessons and unstructured swimming/activities </li><li>Maintain positive relationships with staff and students </li><li>Maintain a courteous, professional, and effective manner at all times </li><li>Perform other tasks or projects as assigned </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be at least 16 years old.</p> <p>Language Skills: Ability to read and analyze and interpret technical procedures and instructions. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.</p> <p>Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, other basic math functions.</p> <p>Technology Abilities: Ability to understand and operate technology in an instructional setting while using a variety of standardized methods.</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
