When you are in the store you will help provide product knowledge and technical expertise to our customers. If you're confident about your skills and abilities and want to make a real difference in your community, we'd love to welcome you to our team!</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>As a Driver you are eligible for up to an annual $2000 Safe Driving bonus (paid in parts up to $500 quarterly) </li></ul> <p>Class B Driver w/Hazmat Endorsement (Primary Responsibility):</p> <ul> <li>Performs pre and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies and ensures all safety items are in good working order. </li><li>Safely delivers hard goods orders and cylinders containing compressed gases to customers; returns empty cylinders to the plant for refilling. </li><li>Maintains load manifests and all other vehicle documents, ensuring they are properly completed and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries. </li><li>Establishes and maintains good customer relations by communicating in person with customers, providing information on cost, ordering and delivery times, etc. </li><li>Identifies and monitors customer needs and works with them to maintain proper hard good and cylinder levels to minimize or eliminate emergency deliveries. </li><li>Operates a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment. </li><li>Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed. </li><li>Complies with all DOT and OSHA regulations. </li><li>Maintains appropriate driver's licenses and endorsements. </li><li>Maintains neat, clean, and professional personal appearance, and maintains vehicle appearance in a professional manner. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Counter Sales (Backup as Needed):</p> <ul> <li>Assist in all phases of store operations. </li><li>Provide customers with an additional level of product knowledge and technical expertise. </li><li>Completes paperwork accurately and promptly according to company policies and procedures. </li><li>Assumes the responsibilities of the Store Manager position when the Store Manager is absent. </li><li>Serves as primary in-house contact for major customer base served by branch store. </li><li>For selected accounts, offers special prices or discounts based on specific guidelines and in certain circumstances, negotiates payment form. </li><li>Assists branch store sales staff in selling function and sales team in working up quotes. </li><li>Responds to customer complaints by resolving the issue according to company policy. </li><li>Serves as a support staff for outside sales. </li><li>Labels products, stocks shelves, assembles machinery, conducts demonstrations, and arranges displays to enhance marketability. </li><li>Help as needed in the warehouse with cylinders and inventory. </li><li>Assists in maintaining a clean and neat store appearance. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul>
