<p>Job Details</p> <p>Job Location: Blackberry Mountain - Walland, TN</p> <p>Position Type: Part Time</p> <p>Salary Range: Undisclosed</p> <p>Job Shift: Day</p> <p>Description and Qualifications</p> <p>The Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer will conduct exercise classes and programming for the HUB at Blackberry Mountain. The Fitness Instructor provides high-quality service to guests through education and counseling. The Fitness Instructor will assist the Wellness Manager in creating and providing exercise programming.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Conduct group fitness classes and/or personal training sessions </li><li>Remains current on scientific exercise information </li><li>Ensures confidentiality with respect to guest data according to HIPAA regulations and Blackberry Mountain confidentiality guidelines </li><li>Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered </li><li>Perform prep work, properly clean and restock room as required </li><li>Maintain a working knowledge of the Company's property, as well as special events on and near property, in order to advise guests of the same, whenever possible </li><li>Ensures a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained </li><li>Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for the Center </li><li>Assist in all areas of the spa operation, including the locker room as needed, as requested by management </li><li>Actively promote home care programs, meeting retail sales goals </li><li>Maintain a professional reputation in the company and community </li><li>Properly prepare and safely handle beverages and snack items offered </li><li>Ensure the cleanliness and restocking of supplies </li><li>Perform any tasks deemed necessary by the manager </li></ul> <p>Must comply with all company policies and procedures.</p> <p>To perform the essential functions of this position, regular and consistent attendance is required.</p> <p>Must be able to work well with other Team Members and managers and interact with our guests.</p> <p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Experience in individual/ group counseling preferred </li><li>Previous hospital or wellness center experience preferred </li><li>Current CPR Certification </li><li>High School Diploma or equivalent </li></ul> <p>LANGUAGE SKILLS</p> <ul> <li>Must have excellent verbal communication skills </li><li>Must have the ability to prepare/write educational materials for guests </li><li>Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers, and team members </li></ul> <p>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS</p> <ul> <li>Basic knowledge and understanding of math </li><li>Ability to calculate calorie and nutrient requirements </li></ul> <p>REASONING ABILITY</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time </li><li>Lift and/or move objects weighing up to 10 lbs. and equipment up to 75 lbs. </li><li>Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT</p> <ul> <li>5,200 acres of Blackberry Mountain property </li><li>Must be able to work in a calm and quiet spa setting </li></ul> <p>About Blackberry</p> <p>Blackberry Mountain, a Relais & Châteaux property, continues a legacy of world-renowned hospitality and unwavering dedication and appreciation for the land.
