If you're ready for a challenging and rewarding career, apply now to be at the forefront of naval engineering excellence.</p> <p>Electric Boat Corporation is seeking motivated engineers to join the VIRGINIA Class Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical Systems group, Department 426. This full time position located in New London, CT will support the design and development of fast attack submarine electrical systems supporting underwater electromagnetic performance goals.</p> <p>Examples of the type of work this position offers:</p> <ul> <li>Develop submarine electrical systems including requirements development, ships construction drawings, 3D arrangement model, and component selection and test procedures </li><li>Work with the submarine industrial base to specify, procure, qualify and deliver electronics equipment </li><li>Troubleshoot electrical issues identified by the ships construction and test teams </li><li>Development of new technologies for implementation onto the submarine platform </li></ul> <p>Electric Boat offers Flexible Work Arrangements that allows some work to be performed remotely and at home. This varies from position to position based on the amount of classified material the department interacts with, as well as a few other variables. Please ask for more details on how it applies to this opening during discussions with the department.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>The candidate must possess strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. </li><li>Candidate must be highly motivated and be able to perform independently, as well as interact with other groups and organizations in a team environment. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering </li><li>0-3 years of experience </li><li>Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Level Clearance </li><li>Willingness to travel (10%) </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Electrical circuit design and analysis </li><li>Systems Engineering processes / Requirements management </li><li>Comfortability conducting independent research </li><li>Familiarity with electromagnetic principles </li><li>Project Management skills </li></ul>
