<p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>The Vice President, Procurement Operations, Global Procurement leads the global strategy and execution of enterprise-wide Procure-to-Pay (P2P), procurement technology administration, and business operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with corporate objectives. This role is part of the global procurement leadership team and is responsible for optimizing procurement processes, driving operational excellence, and leveraging technology and offshore capabilities to enhance service delivery and cost efficiency. As a key member of the Global Procurement team, this leader will oversee policy execution, automation strategies, supplier governance frameworks, and transactional procurement efficiencies to maximize value across Marriott's global operations. This role will partner closely with corporate, continent, and discipline leaders to standardize procurement operations, enhance supplier performance, and drive sustainable sourcing and financial optimization. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in end-to-end procurement operations, P2P automation, shared service/offshore procurement models, and compliance governance, demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, and have a proven track record of managing geographically dispersed teams in a highly matrixed environment. This role offers the opportunity to shape enterprise procurement operations, streamline global sourcing efficiencies, and strengthen governance controls, contributing to the success of Marriott's 30+ brands across 10,000+ hotels in 138+ countries.</p> <p>The global team has a presence in 9 offices worldwide (Eschborn, London, Dubai, Cape Town, Shanghai, Singapore, Mumbai, Bethesda MD, Plantation FL) and over 60 clusters representing 200 associates. This role will maximize Marriott's global purchasing power of $20B+ while supporting strategic supplier relationships.</p> <p>CANDIDATE PROFILE</p> <p>Education and Experience</p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>BA/BS business administration, supply chain management, finance or related field </li><li>10+ years of business, procure to pay, finance, make-buy experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Solid technical knowledge of best in class end to end supply chain management practices. Knowledge of source to contract technology, category management and contracting. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to create strategy and implement change while managing a geographically dispersed team in a highly matrixed cross-discipline environment. </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Masters in Business Administration </li><li>Track record managing within third-party outsourced support models, including offshore support. </li></ul> <p>CORE WORK ACTIVITIES</p> <ul> <li>Administer global procurement technology to global user base in partnership with global technology and corporate/continent leadership. Develop training materials and standard operating procedures to enable consistency and scale. </li><li>Establish key performance indicators to monitor performance of global procurement. Partner with global procurement leadership team to set targets, provide regular reporting and develop improvement plans where necessary. </li><li>Maintain a close working relationship with global finance and accounting, ensuring the seamless execution of the end-to-end procure to pay process across property and corporate locations. Design business and procure to pay processes to streamline invoice payment and reduce manual touch. </li><li>Administer the source to contract technology platform to enable category management prioritization and reporting. </li><li>Provide thought leadership in the creation of business cases, make-buy analysis, and funding methodology evolution over time. </li><li>Administer all global procurement contract incentives, allowances and sponsorship in accordance with contract terms and company policies and procedures. </li><li>Monitor, measure and report on contract audits, service level agreements (SLA) and vendor performance. Partner with category and contracting leaders globally to establish improvement plans where necessary. </li><li>Leverage offshore procurement teams and shared service centers for transactional procurement, invoice processing, and data analytics to drive efficiency and cost savings. </li><li>Drive automation in procurement workflows, contract management, and payments, ensuring lean operations and reducing manual touchpoints. </li><li>Lead global procurement transformation initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and technologies across owned, managed, and franchised properties. </li><li>Build and develop a high-performing global procurement operations team, leveraging offshore resources to support transactional procurement and analytics while focusing in-house teams on strategic initiatives. </li></ul> <p>The salary range for this position is $177,000 to $299,500 annually.
