At Nicolet National Bank, we believe that our people are our most valuable asset, and we are committed to investing in their growth and development.</p> <p>The Accounting Intern is primarily responsible for general accounting duties that may include but are not limited to: accounts payable; daily reconciliations; correspondent bank accounts; special projects; and other analysis/reporting assistance as needed. This role offers hands-on experience in corporate accounting practices and exposure to various financial systems and tools. Strong communication skills, ability to work across department lines, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines are essentials to thrive in this position.</p> <p>As an Accounting Intern, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in preparing journal entries and compiling information for reconciling accounts. </li><li>Support month-end and quarter-end close processes. </li><li>Assist with regulatory data compilation for taxes and other regulatory reporting. </li><li>Help with invoice processing and expense tracking. </li><li>Maintain organized financial records and documentation. </li><li>Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting tasks. </li><li>Assist with financial research related to reconciliations, analysis, and internal inquiries. </li><li>Assist with fixed asset tracking and reconciliations. </li><li>Assist with prepaid tracking and reconciliations. </li><li>Assist with investment held at cost and other investment tracking. </li><li>Uphold Nicolet's philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of services provided by Nicolet. </li><li>Understand and communicate the value of diversity within the workplace and to work successfully with others without regard to age, gender, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, culture, religion, disability status, socioeconomic status or other non-job-related classification, including a commitment to Nicolet's policies on equal employment opportunities and non-discrimination with a willingness to pursue efforts of inclusion and respect toward different perspectives. </li><li>Performs all other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Student currently in school working towards Accounting Degree; Junior or Senior status preferred. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Medical, Dental, Vision, & Life Insurance </li><li>401(k) with a company match </li><li>PT0 & 11 1/2 Paid Holidays </li></ul> <p>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
