<p>Under direction, set-up and take down meeting rooms, ballrooms, exhibit halls and arena for various events</p> <p>POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Participates in room set-ups and strikes, including but not limited to chairs, tables, risers/stages, stanchions, podiums and other equipment/furniture, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Builds concert stages, installs hockey dashers, glass and related equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Install various sporting equipment as required</p> </li><li> <p>Installs ice for related events (both indoors and outdoors as needed)</p> </li><li> <p>Perform work in a safe manner at all times, notifying the Supervisor immediately of any accidents/incidents and any problems or damagers to facility or equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Operate walkie-talkie radio devices when required</p> </li><li> <p>Assist as needed/required to clear snow & ice from around the facility & the outdoor skating rink if/when needed (ability to safely & effectively use snow blowers when doing these tasks)</p> </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School Diploma or GED required</p> </li><li> <p>Previous experience with similar functions desirable</p> </li><li> <p>Licensed and Qualified forklift/platform lift operations desirable</p> </li></ul> <p>SKILLS AND ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to use hand and small power tools when required both safely and effectively</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to listen and follow both verbal and written instructions</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to read and understand room set-up floor plans to complete tasks effectively</p> </li><li> <p>Present a neat and groomed appearance and demeanor at all times during the workday</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes nights, weekends, mid-shifts, early mornings and holidays, as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to read, write and speak English</p> </li><li> <p>Must have professional attitude and appearance</p> </li><li> <p>Must be at least 18 years old</p> </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, this position requires lifting at least 65 lbs without assistance. This position also includes walking and standing for most of the assigned shifts, bending and stooping at times is required.
