<p>Posting ID: 27971 Job Title: Regular City: Mobile, AL, United States Location: Mobile - Canfor Southern Pine, Inc.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Provide the West Region teams with historical and forward-looking financial and statistical analysis and information and participating in decisions that enhance the company's profitability. Responsible for month end closing in addition to providing accurate decision-making information that supports the West Region and the Wood Products teams. Support the accounting team in ensuring that appropriate systems, policies and procedures, and internal controls are in place for the timely and accurate completion of the monthly financial closes, weekly cost reporting, monthly and quarterly forecasts, annual business plans and capital processes. Review regional mill operational financial statements and reports (including financial template and stats). Review regional mill operational forecasting and KPI's. Provide operational and financial support and analysis. Supervise regional mill accountants. Provide framework to ensure closing and reporting deadlines are met. Support regional mill operations executives.</p> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>Must have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field and at least 6 years of experience (5 of which must be progressive, post-baccalaureate) in an accounting role.</p> <p>Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in wood products accounting.</p> <p>Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in each of the following Business Intelligence Tools (which may be gained concurrently): JD Edwards ERP software, DGS Enterprise Manager, and OBIEE in an ERP environment.</p> <p>Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in all the following (which may be gained concurrently):</p> <ul> <li>Industrial manufacturing month-end closing, including lumber inventory count, for multiple operations sites; </li><li>Lumber manufacturing processes and machinery, including analyzing return on investment (ROI) for lumber manufacturing equipment and capital infrastructure; </li><li>Working capital and inventory tracking and forecasting; </li><li>Financial accounting systems (including preparing journal entries, preparing financial statements, and updating chart of accounts); </li><li>Using Microsoft Excel to analyze and reconcile accounts, including payroll, taxes, and income statement fluctuations on a monthly basis; </li><li>Prepare and review quarterly rolling 15 months forecast and business plan; </li><li>Providing ad hoc detailed financial analysis to operations management and executives; and, </li><li>Preparing and reviewing proposals for capital expenditures. </li></ul> <p>Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in reviewing 100 or more account reconciliations on a monthly basis.</p> <p>May require local travel up to 20% of the time, based on business needs.</p> <p>Don't check off every single bullet point?
