The nearby Great Smoky Mountains National Park captivates outdoor enthusiasts, offering hiking, camping, and breathtaking views year-round.</p> <p>Hours:</p> <p>Part Time (3pm-7pm) 3 days a week</p> <p>Responsibilities: (List does not include all duties assigned)</p> <ul> <li>Performs complete physical exams, obtains complete medical histories, and records findings. </li><li>Maintains and reviews patient records, charts and other pertinent information. </li><li>Orders (and, as appropriate, performs) appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures. </li><li>Determines preliminary diagnoses and therapeutic plans by obtaining, interpreting and integrating data. </li><li>Posts tests and examination results as appropriate. </li><li>Instructs patient/family regarding medications and treatments, educates patients/family regarding health and illness prevention, and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs. </li><li>Assists physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients. </li><li>Provides monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits. </li><li>Triages nursing and family telephone calls and provides consultation. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION: Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three years of previous patient care experience in a clinic setting, plus two years of APN or PA experience is preferred.</p> <p>CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse in State of Tennessee, or current Physician Assistant licensed to practice in State of Tennessee.</p> <p>Summit Medical Group is East Tennessee's largest primary care organization with more than 526 providers at 90 practice locations in 23 counties.
