<p>Position Purpose/Summary</p> <p>Responsible for assisting with the overall implementation of all existing and new Tyler-MUNIS financial applications for citywide services through planning projects, analyzing resolutions to business practices, appraising development procedures, and testing the quality of the application. Assist and works in coordination with the IT department, Office of Procurement, Treasurer, Collector, Comptroller, Office of Management and Budget, and other necessary city departments. Performance of work is under the supervision of the City Comptroller. No supervision is exercised over other employees.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Supports the Munis Project Team with facets of the Munis application including planning, testing, and training. </li><li>Analyzes current processing/implementation of the Munis application in departments and makes recommendations. </li><li>Solves problems related to technical issues with various departments. </li><li>Facilitates training including reaching out to departments to identify specific needs. </li><li>Coordinates training by scheduling, enrolling, sourcing instructors, and teaching. </li><li>Maintains training schedules for all levels including new hires and advanced users. </li><li>Updates user manuals based on future enhancements and upgrades. </li><li>Maintains and coordinates Munis log to track and resolve user issues </li><li>Works closely and collaboratively with Comptroller's staff to ensure required MUNIS functions and reporting are completed daily/weekly/monthly basis </li><li>Performs other related duties as required. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Extensive knowledge of accounting theory, principles and practices of general ledger accounting. </li><li>Ability to express oneself clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. </li><li>Must be able to communicate with all levels of professionals in municipal government. </li><li>Must possess strong analytical, process mapping, and problem-solving skills while demonstrating knowledge of Munis application. </li><li>Requires strong organization skills in order to meet aggressive deadlines for improving existing processes and implementing new projects. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of advance computer and technology experience; OR, any equivalent combination of seven (7) years. </li><li>Munis experience preferred. </li></ul>
