Our sales team is trained across all of our products to give our customers insights into our entire portfolio.</p> <p>Job Title: Director, Tax & Treasury</p> <p>Job Purpose:</p> <p>This role will lead the company's tax & treasury function, overseeing all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and reporting (including US federal, state, international, and indirect taxes) while managing the company's treasury portfolio to ensure optimal liquidity, risk management, and capital efficiency.</p> <p>The successful candidate will lead a small, high-performing tax team and collaborate closely with senior leadership, external advisors, and cross-functional stakeholders to support strategic business objectives and maintain compliance with global regulatory requirements.</p> <p>This role will serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on tax implications of business decisions, requiring a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and strong communication skills.</p> <p>Main Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Tax Management</p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute global tax strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements. </li><li>Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local and international tax regulations, including specialized provisions under the IRC, including but not limited to Section 48D of the CHIPS Act, etc. </li><li>Oversee US federal and state tax compliance, reporting, and audits. </li><li>Lead tax provision and reporting under ASC740, including ETR forecasting, deferred tax analysis and financial statement disclosures, as well as coordination with the Accounting Department and external auditors. </li><li>Ensure robust internal controls and documentation to mitigate tax risks. </li><li>Monitor legislative changes and assess impact on the company's tax position. </li><li>Support M&A transactions from due diligence through integration. </li><li>Manage tax disputes and audit defense in the US and internationally, resolve notices and drive continuous improvement to reduce recurring issues. </li><li>Manage international tax planning and forecasting, transfer pricing, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. </li><li>Implement technology-driven solutions to improve tax processes and reporting efficiency. </li><li>Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance (income, withholding, VAT/GST, property, payroll, sales & use) via internal teams and external advisors; ensure timely, accurate filings and sustainable audit positions. </li></ul> <p>Treasury Management</p> <ul> <li>Develop strategies for optimizing the company's capital structure and financing arrangements. </li><li>Oversee global cash management, liquidity planning, and banking relationships. </li><li>Manage fixed income investment portfolio and foreign exchange risk in line with corporate policies. </li><li>Oversee treasury management systems and controls to ensure compliance and efficiency. </li></ul> <p>Leadership & Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Lead and develop tax and treasury team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. </li><li>Partner with Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to support business transactions and strategic projects. </li><li>Serve as primary liaison with external tax advisors, auditors, and financial institutions. </li></ul> <p>Key Competencies Required:</p> <ul> <li>Strategic thinker with ability to influence senior stakeholders. </li><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills. </li><li>Proficiency with tax technology tools and ERP systems. </li><li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. </li><li>Commitment to continuous process improvement. </li></ul> <p>Previous Relevant Work Experience:</p> <ul> <li>12+ years of progressive tax experience, including leadership roles. </li><li>Strong background in US corporate tax compliance and planning; exposure to international tax required. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required and advanced degree preferred. </li><li>Strong technical knowledge of US federal, state, and international tax regulations; experience with indirect taxes. </li><li>10+ years of progressive experience in tax and treasury, with at least 5 years in a management role. </li><li>Big-4 experience preferred. </li><li>Semiconductor or technology industry experience is a plus. </li></ul> <p>EEO:</p> <p>MACOM is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a diverse workforce.
