<p>Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Off-Shift Production Supervisor.</p> <p>This role is located at our Waukesha, WI site. No relocation assistance will be provided. The hours will be approximately 7:00am-4:00am.</p> <p>The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year.</p> <p>Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.</p> <p>What you'll do:</p> <p>The Production Supervisor will direct departmental activities and initiate/participate in cross-functional activities to accomplish the objectives of safety, quality, on-time delivery, inventory, productivity, and continuous improvement. The Supervisor will Improve employee involvement and communications to achieve strategic operating objectives. They will lead and participate on continuous improvement teams including lean/six sigma (MVP) projects or events.</p> <p>In this role you will:</p> <ul> <li>Staffs, develops, and maintains an effective workforce of production personnel to accomplish department goals. Responsible for employee selection, counseling, training and development. </li><li>Plan, direct, and control the work of assigned work centers to make maximum effective utilization of employees, equipment and material within budgetary requirements and cost/quality standards. This includes complete responsibility for the effective utilization of overtime and control of absenteeism. </li><li>Own the overall performance of assigned area. Facilitate smooth hand offs between all shifts, identify and facilitate continuous improvement activity, participate and lead initiatives to meet plant level goals, work with Shift Supervisors and Operations Manager to set appropriate staffing levels and staffing alignment. </li><li>Maintain the quality as well as quantity of various manufactured parts so that they meet engineering specifications. Manage each work center to achieve the lowest level of scrap and rework possible. </li><li>Responsible for analyzing operating reports and taking necessary corrective action to effectively control all costs and expenses related to the department. Provide other budgetary information to Operations Manager as requested to meet planned budgeting requirements. </li><li>Responsible for effective implementation of modern manufacturing methods that will reduce costs and increase production while improving the quality of goods produced. </li><li>Manage administrative functions including attendance, time-off, training records, and internal communications. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED </li><li>One (1) year of supervisory work experience </li><li>Five (5) years of manufacturing experience </li><li>Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or completion of Eaton's Front Line Leader Associate program </li><li>Relevant experience in shop operations such as machining, assembly, fabrication as well as manufacturing systems such as Lean, Shop Floor Control, MRP, routings, BOMs, SPC, and ISO 9000. </li><li>Previous leadership experience in manufacturing environment </li><li>Working knowledge of employment law such as OSHA, FMLA, harassment, etc. </li><li>Experience with lean manufacturing / Operational Excellence in 5S+, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management, etc. </li><li>Experience in Engineered to order environment. </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Must be a self-starter with the ability to work alone, or in a team environment with limited supervision. </li><li>Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and must be able to function in a multi-tasking capacity. </li><li>Excellent computer and data analysis skills.
