<p>Position Summary</p> <p>We are seeking a dynamic and organized Coordinator to develop, manage, and expand Youth Employment and Training programs offered through the Eastern Connecticut Workforce Investment Board. This role combines program development, school and employer partnership building, and marketing to deliver high-quality work-based learning programs that serve Eastern Connecticut young adult's and high school's career and technical education needs. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver with strong networking abilities and a passion for lifelong learning.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Program Development & Management</p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and implement youth employment and training programs including school-to-career, stackable credentialing in high schools offered through the Eastern Connecticut Workforce Investment Board </li><li>Manage program lifecycles from conception through evaluation, ensuring quality delivery and participant satisfaction </li><li>Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and resources for multiple concurrent programs </li><li>Monitor program effectiveness and make data-driven improvements </li><li>Develop employment partnerships </li></ul> <p>Community Partnerships & Networking</p> <ul> <li>Build and maintain strategic partnerships with local businesses, organizations, educational institutions, and community groups </li><li>Identify and cultivate relationships with potential program sponsors and collaborators </li><li>Represent the organization at community events, networking functions, and professional meetings </li><li>Develop referral networks to expand program reach and participant enrollment </li><li>Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify and address regional barriers to participation, including transportation, accessibility, and other logistical challenges </li><li>Work with community stakeholders to develop creative solutions that increase program accessibility for diverse populations </li></ul> <p>Marketing & Outreach</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with the marketing department to create and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to promote programs and increase enrollment </li><li>Provide program content, messaging, and participant testimonials to support marketing initiatives </li><li>Lead grassroots recruitment efforts through community connections and direct outreach </li><li>Work with marketing team to develop materials including brochures, website content, social media posts, and promotional campaigns </li><li>Coordinate community outreach efforts and word-of-mouth marketing to raise program awareness </li><li>Serve as the primary liaison between programs and marketing department, ensuring accurate and compelling program representation </li></ul> <p>Funding & Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with team members to identify and pursue funding opportunities including grants, sponsorships, and partnerships </li><li>Assist in preparing grant applications and funding proposals </li><li>Maintain accurate program records and prepare regular reports for leadership and funders </li><li>Track program metrics, participant outcomes, and financial performance </li><li>Support budget development and management for assigned programs </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Education, Communications, Business Administration, or related field </li><li>Minimum 2-3 years of experience in program coordination, project management, or community education </li><li>Experience developing and managing educational programs or community initiatives </li></ul> <p>Skills & Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Organizational Excellence: Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines </li><li>Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences </li><li>Creativity: Innovative thinking to develop engaging programs that meet community needs </li><li>Networking: Proven ability to build relationships and establish partnerships </li><li>Marketing Acumen: Experience with marketing strategies, social media, and promotional activities </li><li>Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with colleagues, volunteers, and external partners </li><li>Technology Proficiency: Comfortable with office software, database management, and social media platforms </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in relevant field </li><li>Experience with grant writing and fundraising </li><li>Background in adult education or workforce development </li><li>Knowledge of certification programs and continuing education standards </li><li>Experience with community partnership development </li><li>Bilingual capabilities (specify languages based on community needs) </li></ul> <p>Personal Attributes</p> <ul> <li>Self-motivated and able to work independently </li><li>Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities </li><li>Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities </li><li>Passionate about community education and lifelong learning </li><li>Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills </li><li>Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to identify new opportunities </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Full-time position with standard business hours;
