We are innovating value-based care and leveraging integrated applications, population insights and staffing expertise to ensure all patients have access to high-quality, connected care services that provide better outcomes at a reduced total cost of care.</p> <p>Please Note: We will only contact candidates regarding your applications from one of the following domains: @summithealth.com, @citymd.net, @villagemd.com, @villagemedical.com, @westmedgroup.com, @starlingphysicians.com, or @bmctotalcare.com.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>This position is responsible for understanding the performance objectives of Starling's value-based (measuring quality and cost-of-care) agreements with health plans and assisting Starling practices to use data accurately and completely from the health plans and the EHR to achieve those objectives.</p> <p>Key Accountabilities:</p> <ul> <li>Accessing health plan reporting/data available to Starling about its performance and consolidating the information on behalf of Starling practices </li><li>Assessing the accuracy of health plan data by verifying information in Starling's EHR </li><li>Communicating performance results and goals to individual practices </li><li>Staying current on industry best practices through continuing education, including health plan sponsored programs </li><li>Maintaining strict patient and provider confidentiality </li><li>Adhering to HIPAA regulations </li><li>Performing other duties as requested </li></ul> <p>Relationships</p> <ul> <li>Reports to Value-Based Supervisor </li><li>Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with management, co-workers, and providers. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications (Education, Experience, Additional Skills & Requirements):</p> <ul> <li>High school graduate or equivalent; Associate degree preferred </li><li>Previous physician practice experience and familiarity with commonly used health care vocabulary </li><li>Competence in using EPIC electronic health record and Microsoft Office suite, with special emphasis on Excel; willingness to accept additional training as needed. </li><li>Good organizational and communication skills </li><li>Follow safety procedures as indicated in the departmental and organizational Emergency Action Plan </li><li>Ability to work effectively and professionally under pressure. </li><li>Ability to work in a team and to share responsibilities and duties. </li><li>Ability to resolve interpersonal conflict in a straightforward and timely manner. </li><li>Ability to set priorities, be organized and multi-task as needed. </li><li>Ability to be friendly, empathic and an adept communicator. </li><li>Ability to treat both staff and patients with respect. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions, Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Support function will occur within various corporate and clinical settings and workspaces. </li><li>Incumbents may be required to work at any facility based on operation need, and schedule may vary. </li><li>Physical activity will include walking, standing, and sitting. </li><li>Physical demands may also include lifting and carrying equipment up to 30 lbs or providing physical assistance to patients. </li><li>Other physical requirements include speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes; vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc.; and good manual dexterity. </li></ul> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
