As the Maintenance Equipment Technician, you'll use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools, and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks and determine causes of operating problems in areas including but not limited to, plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.</p> <p>Job Location: Newton, IA</p> <p>What you'll do:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain attendance within acceptable standards </li><li>Perform basic preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment such as motors, conveyers, mechanical components or electrical wiring and electrical components for production equipment </li><li>Perform basic troubleshooting/single phase/240v </li><li>Perform complex repairs on production equipment motors and mechanical components including pneumatics and hydraulics </li><li>Perform troubleshooting/3 Phase/equipment up to 480v </li><li>May tack weld (stick or MIG) for minor repairs </li></ul> <p>What you'll need:</p> <ul> <li>Experience: Up to 1 Year </li><li>Certifications: NAPA70E </li><li>Technical Skills: None </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds. </li><li>This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays </li><li>Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant </li></ul> <p>Safety Activities:</p> <ul> <li>Be aware of and observe all safety practices.
