<p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Business Development Specialist will support Novogradac's growth by identifying new lead opportunities, assisting firm professionals in prospecting, driving sales through targeted digital campaigns and facilitating outreach to attendees pre and post Novogradac and other industry events. This role will work with the Senior Director of Business Development to conduct market research, create targeted account lists, develop strategies to acquire new clients and/or expand service lines and collaborate with other departments to implement those strategies.</p> <p>The firm has one available position in either Dover, OH, Cleveland, OH, Kansas City, MO, St. Louis, MO, or Detroit, MI.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop Ideal Client Profiles: Define target industries, company size, and key decision-makers. </li><li>Vet Novogradac and 3rd Party Conference attendee lists to identify high-value targets, existing clients for expansion and potential referral channels. </li><li>Coordinate outreach efforts with the firm attendees and their clients to build relationships and facilitate potential engagements post-event. </li><li>Identify ideal audience segmentation to generate leads. </li><li>Capture opportunities to create a sales pipeline for specific services to support the professionals in achieving their forecasted sales goals. </li><li>Analyze sales data and other relevant information to identify cross-selling opportunities with a focus on high-value accounts. </li><li>Maintain data quality in DealCloud CRM to ensure client interactions are accurately captured, manage leads, and organize useful information. </li><li>Be an integral part of an RFP team, assisting in the creation of an RFP library, maintaining an RFP pipeline, and reporting on results. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Superior organizational and follow-through skills, performing work accurately with strong attention to detail </li><li>Ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritize a fast-paced and varied workload, effectively managing a variety of concurrent and shifting priorities </li><li>Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, in particular with Excel </li><li>Proficient in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, such as Salesforce or DealCloud </li><li>Ability to adapt to changing work demands with flexibility </li><li>Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions </li><li>Ability to work independently as well as part of a team </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field plus 2-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Experience at a professional services firm.</p> <p>Experience with any of the following is helpful but not mandatory: Affordable Housing, Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), Opportunity Zones (OZ), Renewable Energy Tax Credits (RETC), Historical Tax Credits (HTC), Housing and Urban Development (HUD), New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC), Real Estate, Developers, Partnerships, Housing Authority (HA), Public Housing Authority, Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI), Community Development Entity Certification Applications (CDE), Property Compliance, Nonprofit, Single Audit, Uniform Guidance, A-133, Forecasting, Cost Segregation, Year 15 Exit, Tax-exempt bond and HOME programs.</p> <p>Why work with us?</p> <p>Our firm is committed to providing our people with opportunities to excel professionally.
