You will work as part of a maintenance team, contributing ideas for improved methods and technologies while ensuring excellent customer service and fostering a safe work environment. Your responsibilities will include performing skilled trades tasks like repairing parts, welding bridge structures, and fabricating components using different welding equipment. Additionally, you will engage in tasks that involve modifying and customizing equipment, exercising independent judgment in your work methods, and potentially overseeing helpers. You will receive assignments from a supervisor who will review your work, and you will also be responsible for diagnosing and repairing department equipment efficiently. Responding to emergency calls and participating in required medical surveillance testing will be part of your duties, along with maintaining a small inventory of steel and aluminum materials.</p> <p>Interested in learning more?
