<p>Senior Survey CAD Technician</p> <p>Department: Survey/Geomatics</p> <p>Employment Type: Full Time</p> <p>Location: Sanford, FL</p> <p>Reporting To: Thom Galloway</p> <p>Description</p> <p>CPH is a multi-disciplined Engineering and Architectural design firm that ranks in the nation's Top 500 Design Firms by ENR Magazine.</p> <p>CPH has an opening for the following position: Senior Survey CAD Technician</p> <p>The Senior Survey CAD Technician is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, maps, and plans using CAD software. This position requires close collaboration with surveyors, engineers, and other team members to ensure the accuracy and success of survey projects. The Senior Survey CAD Technician candidate will have expertise in MicroStation, OpenRoads, Utility design, and scan extraction technologies.</p> <p>Duties Include:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and update survey drawings, maps, and plans using CAD software, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications. </li><li>Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and project teams to ensure seamless integration and execution of project designs. </li><li>Create topographical and utility surveys, converting field data into precise technical drawings. </li><li>Conduct thorough quality control checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of all project deliverables. </li><li>Organize and maintain records of CAD files, drawings, and associated project documentation for efficient access and future use. </li><li>Prepare detailed reports and documentation from survey data and CAD outputs to support project needs. </li><li>Stay informed on advancements in CAD technology, software updates, and best practices in surveying and mapping. </li><li>Perform calculations for field crews and mapping tasks as needed. </li><li>Analyze deeds and other research materials to assist in survey deliverables. </li><li>Extract linework and features from point clouds using TopoDot software. </li><li>Continuously seek learning opportunities and adapt to new tools and techniques. </li><li>Collaborate with the Project Services Manager (PSM) to establish and manage delivery schedules and timelines. </li><li>Oversee the production team and assign projects effectively to ensure optimal workflow. </li><li>Review contracts with the production team to ensure a clear understanding of project scope. </li><li>Monitor daily project progress, assessing alignment with the proposed hourly breakdown. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with FDOT standards. </li><li>Proficiency in CADD systems, including MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer (ORD), Civil 3D, Geopak, and drafting techniques. </li><li>Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook. </li><li>Experience in Commercial, Retail, Restaurant, and Industrial projects. </li><li>Adaptable and receptive to instruction from others. </li><li>Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with a team. </li><li>Excellent oral, written and organizational skills. </li><li>Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines. </li><li>Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated. </li><li>Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field. </li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in survey CAD drafting. </li></ul> <p>Compensation & Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Dependent upon experience. </li><li>CPH offers Medical, Dental and Vision and Long-Term Disability with a quality insurance company. </li><li>Company Paid Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability. </li><li>401K, Paid Personal Time Off, Paid Holidays, and Paid Paternal Leave. </li></ul> <p>CPH is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action/Drug Free Work Environment Employer.</p>
