<p>Construction Partners Inc., a publicly traded highway infrastructure company, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager to lead the preparation and filing of SEC reports, ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, and provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions. This role will work closely with executive leadership, legal, and external auditors and will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and accounting policies. The position also includes management responsibilities of a small team, with responsibility for developing and guiding staff on reporting and accounting matters. The SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager will report to the Chief Accounting Officer.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Drive the preparation and timely completion of SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and other periodic filings in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations. </li><li>Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors to gather and validate required disclosures and supporting documentation. </li><li>Monitor new accounting pronouncements (e.g., from FASB, SEC) and assess their impact on the company's financial statements. </li><li>Perform technical accounting research and prepare memoranda on complex or non-routine transactions (e.g., business combinations, impairments, revenue recognition, leasing). </li><li>Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements. </li><li>Assist with quarterly earnings release support, including coordination of press release and investor materials. </li><li>Support internal control processes in compliance with SOX 404 requirements. </li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and other departments on transactions and reporting needs. </li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes, systems, and controls. </li><li>Manage and develop a small team, providing guidance, oversight, and support for professional growth. </li><li>Support ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by the CAO. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in Accounting required. </li><li>Active CPA license required. </li><li>Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in public accounting (Big 4 or large regional firm experience preferred). </li><li>Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and internal control frameworks. </li><li>Experience in the construction, civil engineering, or manufacturing sectors preferred. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to research and resolve complex technical accounting issues. </li><li>Prior experience managing or mentoring staff, with the ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams. </li><li>Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy. </li><li>Strong project management and communication skills. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SEC reporting tools. </li><li>Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities. </li></ul> <p>At Construction Partners, we don't just build roads - we build leaders.
