<p>JOB SUMMARY: We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Instructional Aide to join our team. The Instructional Aide will play a vital role in supporting the effective delivery of program services and providing assistance to students with diverse learning needs. Under the supervision of classroom teachers and administrators, the Instructional Aide will perform a variety of tasks to facilitate student learning and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with daily learning activities, behavior management, instructional support, and social skills training for students. Prepare and distribute classroom materials, set up equipment, and maintain program areas. Provide individual or small group support for remedial or enrichment activities as directed by teachers. Implement intervention strategies identified in individualized educational plans (IEP) and chart student behavior as directed. Assist with student mobility needs, use of assistive devices, and positioning to optimize learning environments. Participate in programmed recreational activities and support non-classroom activities such as arrival/departure, lunch, recess, and field trips. Monitor ill students until a parent/guardian arrives. Exemplify professionalism and contribute to an effective and positive work/learning environment. Develop mutually respectful relationships with coworkers and support community participation in school-sponsored activities. Maintain accurate records, submit required paperwork on time, and attend meetings/in-service programs as directed. Implement effective pupil management procedures, uphold the student conduct code, and intervene to prevent/stop bullying or inappropriate behavior. Report suspected child abuse and/or neglect to civil authorities as required by law and ensure safety in all work-related activities.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual preferred, but not required. Behavioral management skills with demonstrated training and work experience. Van Driver Certified or willing to obtain Van Driver Certification Ability to comply with drug-free workplace rules, board policies, and administrative guidelines/procedures. Dependability, flexibility, and the ability to react productively to interruptions/emerging priorities. High ethical standards/integrity, with a record free of criminal violations prohibiting public school employment. Meeting all mandated health screening requirements.</p> <p>BENEFITS: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
