The mission of DOC is to protect the citizens of the Commonwealth and to provide a safe, secure and humane environment for staff and offenders in carrying out the mandates of the legislative and judicial processes; and, to provide opportunities for offenders to acquire skills which facilitate non-criminal behavior.</p> <p>The Property Officer II at Western Kentucky Correctional Complex is responsible for the operation of the warehouse at the institution.</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:</p> <ul> <li>Orders, receives, and distributes inventory of all Department of Corrections issued uniforms for staff as well as inmate clothing. </li><li>Receives and distributes institutional and inmate supplies for the institution. </li><li>Supervises inmate staff daily in warehouse. </li><li>Maintains adequate inventory and accurate records, compiles reports for supervisor review. </li><li>Provides for security and proper maintenance of stores facility. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>EDUCATION: High School Graduate</p> <p>EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Two years of experience in the inventory, control, sales or disposal, or acquisition of property, or a related field.</p> <p>Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year for year basis.</p> <p>Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE</p> <p>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE</p> <p>Working Conditions</p> <p>Typical working conditions for a specific position may be listed on the individual position description.</p> <p>Probationary Period</p> <p>This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.</p> <p>If you have questions about this advertisement, please contact Tim East at tim.east@ky.gov or .</p> <p>An Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D</p>
