Shoe Carnival is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Store Lead to oversee an area of the store. This role is perfect for someone ready to take on more responsibility and grow into a leadership position. What You'll Do: Lead a department (such as Women's, Men's and Children's departments) and support overall store standards Greet and assist customers with a positive, helpful attitude Train and guide associates on service, product placement, and cash handling Handle transactions, returns, and safe/till counts as needed Organize merchandise, displays, and help with truck unloading and floor moves Promote current sales and programs Delegate tasks and communicate clearly with the team What We're Looking For: Strong communication and customer service skills Confidence in taking initiative and leading by example At least one year experience in retail, sales, or cash handling (preferred) Ability to learn and operate the POS system Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Must be at least 16 years old Physical Requirements: Able to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs during shifts Comfortable bending, squatting, and reaching for merchandise Able to move quickly in a fast-paced store environment Why Work With Us: Supportive team environment Opportunity to grow into a management role Flexible full-time or part-time hours Hands-on training and leadership experience Ready to step up and lead?
