<p>Summary</p> <p>The Young School of Nursing, Weston Campus Program is seeking applicants for an adjunct clinical faculty position to work one day per week in a private Catholic, co-educational elementary school in Lawrence, Massachusetts. This is a unique opportunity to share your expertise and advanced practice skills. As faculty, you will work a long side the RN at Lawrence Catholic Academy as a preceptor to family nurse practitioner (NP) students from Regis College, to provide holistic health care to elementary school students. This would include providing the nurse practitioner students from Regis College a clinical experience in pediatrics with the goals of promoting wellness, preventing health problems, and providing interventions in the management of acute and chronic illness states.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Work in collaboration with the RN at Lawrence Catholic Academy. </li><li>Provide ongoing guidance for the FNP students during their clinical experience. </li><li>Assist the FNP student in problem-solving conflicts. </li><li>Participating in ongoing evaluation of the FNP student's learning experience. </li></ul> <p>Administrative</p> <ul> <li>Provide an evaluation each semester that incorporates the number of NP students that were precepted and includes an overview of the clinical experience at Lawrence Catholic Academy. </li><li>Maintain communication with NP Clinical faculty on student progress, concerns, or questions. </li></ul> <p>Clinical Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Work in collaboration with the RN at Lawrence Catholic Academy to identify preventive and urgent care delivery to the children at this school, working closely with their primary care providers. </li><li>Provide education and mentorship to the FNP students precepting at Lawrence Catholic Academy. </li><li>Assist the NP students with the development of educational materials for the teachers, students, and their families on preventative health topics. </li></ul>
