Produce a variety of parts, all of which must meet dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawings.</p> <p>Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Plan sequence of operations, applying knowledge of physical properties of metal. </li><li>Select proper punches and dies based on material thickness and type. </li><li>Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment. </li><li>Determine if tools are undamaged and in safe condition for use. </li><li>Work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities. </li><li>Keep work area clean and organized. </li><li>Provide a great level of attention to detail. </li><li>Work in a team environment to maximize productivity and efficiency. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education and Experience Requirements:</p> <p>High School Diploma or GED. Minimum 2 years of experience operating and programming CNC Press Brake Machines.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to read blueprints and a knowledge of engineered specified tolerances. </li><li>Solid background working with sheet metal. </li><li>Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance. </li><li>Basic knowledge of AutoCAD preferred, but not required. </li><li>Proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills. </li><li>Ability to distinguish material types including Aluminum, Steel and Stainless Steel, Copper and Brass. </li><li>Able to read a tape measure and calipers. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift and move objects up to 50lbs. </li><li>Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods during shift. </li><li>Required to wear proper personal protective equipment. </li><li>Ability to work in manufacturing facilities and regularly be exposed to varying and extreme temperatures, loud noises, dust, chemical fumes, sharp metal objects and heavy forklift traffic. </li><li>This position is designated as a safety-sensitive job and therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing. </li></ul> <p>Disclaimer:</p> <p>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
