<p>Construction Project Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to support Project Managers in the efficient execution of construction projects. This position is primarily office-based and focuses on the financial and administrative aspects of project management. The projects include water treatment facilities and industrial developments with pre-engineered metal buildings across the United States. In Central Indiana, our portfolio includes K-12 schools, car washes, parks and recreation facilities, National Guard projects, and renovations or additions to company headquarters. Some travel will be required.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Support Project Managers with financial tracking, budgeting, and forecasting for multiple projects. </li><li>Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders. </li><li>Assist in contract administration and ensure compliance with project requirements. </li><li>Coordinate procurement activities, including vendor communication and purchase order tracking. </li><li>Generate and maintain project documentation, including cost reports and progress updates. </li><li>Utilize project management and ERP software (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint, or similar) for documentation and reporting. </li><li>Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. </li><li>Analyze project data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Construction Management. </li><li>1 year of commercial construction experience, preferably in water/wastewater or K-12 environments. </li><li>1 year of experience with a general contractor, subcontractor, or multifamily projects. </li><li>1 year of experience with construction software. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Willingness to travel. </li><li>Bilingual capabilities. </li><li>Experience with water/wastewater projects. </li><li>Experience with pre-engineered metal buildings. </li><li>Familiarity with Procore or similar project management software. </li><li>Experience in institutional construction. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This role requires working in the office five days a week, with a typical workweek ranging from 40 to 45 hours. Travel over 60 miles will be reimbursed at $0.725 per mile.
