<p>Job Details</p> <p>Job Location: Luther Preparatory School - Watertown, WI</p> <p>Salary Range: Undisclosed</p> <p>Description</p> <p>The Mission Advancement Specialist supports Luther Preparatory School's ("LPS") fundraising and donor engagement efforts by coordinating donor-initiated giving programs, oversee the processing and acknowledgment gifts, conducting donor research, and fostering stakeholder engagement. This role plays a critical part in sustaining and growing LPS' mission-driven initiatives through strategic donor cultivation and effective communication.</p> <p>Essential Duties:</p> <p>Donor-Initiated Giving Programs</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate projects related to annual fund appeals and other donor-funded priorities as identified by the Director of Mission Advancement. </li><li>Assist in the development, writing, editing, and distribution of marketing and advancement materials for alumni, donors, and WELS members. </li><li>Maintain and enhance the resource library for WELS Christian giving counselors and other WELS area of ministry solicitors to support donor engagement. </li></ul> <p>Stakeholder Engagement Support</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Director of Mission Advancement, LPS President, and senior leadership in cultivating relationships with major donors and prospects in coordination with WELS Ministry of Christian Giving. </li><li>Provide event support to encourage generosity toward LPS. </li><li>Assist with the planning and coordinate the annual gala in collaboration with the Director of Mission Advancement and the Director of Public Relations. </li><li>Develop and implement engagement initiatives for alumni, including Homecoming and reunions in collaboration with the Director of Mission Advancement. </li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for the Booster Club, facilitating volunteer involvement and LPS leadership engagement. </li><li>Collaborate on digital media planning and updates alongside the Director of Mission Advancement, Director of Public Relations, and Educational Technology Coordinator. </li></ul> <p>Donor Research and Prospect Identification</p> <ul> <li>Identify prospective donors, including alumni, family members of current students, and campus event attendees, for targeted engagement in coordination with the WELS Prospect Analyst. </li><li>Report on and advise the Director of Mission Advancement regarding donor-nurturing opportunities and high-impact giving prospects. </li><li>Identify giving trends, particularly "out of pattern" generosity, such as first-time gifts or unusually large contributions. </li><li>Maintain accurate donor, alumni, and parent records in Raiser's Edge, WELS' donor management system. </li></ul> <p>Gift Processing and Acknowledgment</p> <ul> <li>Oversee the processing and acknowledgment of gifts, ensuring prompt, accurate financial accounting and timely donor recognition. </li><li>Advocate for intentional donor relationship activities in collaboration with the LPS Business Office, Office of the President, and the WELS Ministry of Christian Giving. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must be WELS member in good standing. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications. </li><li>Experience with fundraising software preferred, particularly Raiser's Edge. </li><li>Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with minimal supervision. </li><li>Familiarity with creative development processes for print and electronic communications. </li><li>Excellent writing and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to work some nights and weekends as needed based on event schedule. </li><li>Associate or bachelor degree in related field or experience in mission advancement environment preferred. </li></ul>
