<p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated expertise in areas including but not limited to applied research in fields like new energy, sustainability, and materials engineering; </li><li>Experience in teaching labs and lecture courses at the undergraduate level; </li><li>Evidence of effective teaching; </li><li>Potential for development of an externally funded research program </li></ul> <p>Job Specific Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or closely related field; </li><li>ABD with completion by time of appointment will be considered; </li><li>Ability to teach undergraduate chemical engineering lecture courses, such as chemical engineering process design, separations and reactions engineering, fluid dynamics and heat transfer, and mass and energy balances; </li><li>Ability to develop and teach undergraduate chemical engineering labs involving such topics as reaction engineering, separations, fluid dynamics and heat transfer, and data analysis; </li><li>Ability to develop elective courses suitable for undergraduate engineering students in broad fields such as sustainability, process safety, alternative energy, and materials science; </li><li>Ability to develop an externally funded applied research program; </li><li>Demonstrated written and oral communication skills in the English language; </li><li>Ability and desire to build strong collaborations within the department and throughout the university, in the community, and through professional societies. </li></ul> <p>Evidence of, research for Assistant/Associate Professor and/or industrial applications of new energy, sustainability, and materials engineering for Professor of the Practice.
