<p>Summary</p> <p>Shawnee Community College is seeking qualified and passionate educators to join our Humanities Adjunct Instructor Pool. This pool will support instructional needs in a range of part-time, temporary teaching assignments, which may be offered during the day, evening, weekend, or in hybrid/online formats.</p> <p>Adjunct instructors may be assigned to teach in one or more of the following subject areas offered at SCC:</p> <ul> <li>Art </li><li>Economics </li><li>Education/Early Childhood Education </li><li>English </li><li>Government </li><li>History </li><li>Literature </li><li>Music </li><li>Philosophy </li><li>Psychology </li><li>Social Work </li><li>Sociology </li><li>Spanish </li><li>Speech </li></ul> <p>See a full list of courses in thecollege catalog.Please indicate in your application materials which courses you want to teach.</p> <p>PAY</p> <p>$600 per credit hour</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>For transfer courses:</p> <p>Any Master's degree with eighteen (18) graduate hours appropriate to the content of the course in which they are teaching is required.</p> <p>OR</p> <p>A Master's degree in the discipline related to the course in which they are teaching is required</p> <p>For occupational courses that do not transfer:</p> <ul> <li>2000+ hours of verified work experience in the content of the course in which they are teaching </li><li>Successful teaching in a community college setting is preferred. </li></ul> <p>To be considered for the position, youmustsubmit the following:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Cover Letter</p> </li><li> <p>Current Resume</p> </li><li> <p>OfficialTranscripts (unofficial transcripts will not be considered)</p> </li><li> <p>Completed adjunct application</p> </li></ul>
