If you are ready to elevate your career in a dynamic environment that values respect, teamwork and personal growth, consider joining us at RWA Wealth Partners.</p> <p>Role Overview</p> <p>As a member of the Estate Settlement Group within the RWA Family Office, the candidate's primary responsibility will be to manage all aspects of settling the decedent's estate.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Analyze and interpret the decedent's will and related trusts to determine notice requirements in connection with the appointment of a fiduciary, to assess the dispositive terms of the decedent's estate plan, and to identify issues that may require attention. </li><li>Prepare the requisite probate court forms and documents. </li><li>Create a timetable for the estate and ensure all deadlines are met. </li><li>Gather and organize information about the decedent's assets and debts, including working with appraisers to value real estate, tangible personal property, and privately held business assets. </li><li>Collect estate assets, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, investment accounts, bank deposits, and life insurance. </li><li>Pay debts of the decedent and expenses of administering the estate. </li><li>Work with accountants and other professionals to help prepare and file estate tax returns and fiduciary income tax returns. </li><li>Work with real estate brokers to sell real estate of the estate and with auction houses to sell tangible personal property. </li><li>Assist with estate and trust distributions, including gathering delivery instructions from beneficiaries. </li><li>Maintain internal files and databases related to the decedent's estate. </li><li>Work cooperatively with other RWA team members. </li></ul> <p>Oher Responsibilities</p> <p>The candidate may:</p> <ul> <li>Secure the allowance of probate trust accounts; </li><li>Prepare change of trustee documents; </li><li>Draft estate- or real estate-related documents, such as affidavits and motions; and </li><li>Perform other related duties as requested. </li></ul> <p>Education, Experience and Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required. </li><li>Advanced degree or certifications desirable. </li><li>5 years of work experience in the area of estate administration. </li><li>Outstanding interpersonal skills. </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office. </li><li>Ability to learn additional software applications. </li><li>Experience preparing estate tax returns is a plus, but not required. </li></ul> <p>Essential Capabilities</p> <ul> <li>Must be a strong team player with a sense of commitment and responsibility. </li><li>Must exhibit the ability to work independently. </li><li>Must be motivated and able to take initiative when necessary. </li><li>Must be extremely organized and able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks effectively. </li><li>Must be flexible and exhibit the ability to work under tight deadlines. </li><li>Must exhibit sound judgment in working with clients, lawyers, and colleagues. </li></ul> <p>Compensation</p> <p>The anticipated base salary range for this position is $160,000.00 - $170,000.00. Final base compensation will be carefully determined based on several factors including relevant knowledge, skillset, and experience. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as discretionary bonus, health, dental, and vision plans, and employer 401(k) contributions.</p> <p>RWA Wealth Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
