Please note: You must submit all relevant documentation via onboarding before the deadline (15 days after receiving your offer letter) for salary setting purposes. </li><li>In addition to competitive compensation, DPS has other Total Reward offerings such as; time off, health and wellness benefits, and PERA Retirement. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Develops and monitors Advanced Learning Plans (ALPs) to provide academic and affective (social/emotional) support for identified gifted students. </li><li>Consults with classroom teachers and provides gifted education-related staff development targeted around school needs based on student, family and staff feedback. </li><li>Provides staff development on strategies and appropriate materials to differentiate the curriculum and challenge gifted learners. </li><li>Participates and supports in the school's Multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) process as it relates to the support of gifted and advanced students. </li><li>Counsels students to encourage and support student achievement. </li><li>Monitors, supervises, and enforces rule of conduct and behavior of assigned students; reinforces positive student behaviors in accordance with school and District policy. </li><li>Observes, evaluates, reports, and records student performance, behavior, social development, and physical health and prepares student, attendance, and activity reports as required by administrators. </li><li>Establishes and communicates to students clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects; provides advanced instruction to students individually and in groups (caseload and FTE permitting), using various teaching methods and technology and adjusting teaching style and method to meet student learning style. </li><li>Prepares, administers, and provides reports to families and teachers regarding student performance on whole grade universal screening assessments and individual assessments related to gifted identification; communicates with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve student behavioral and academic problems and to coordinate instructional efforts, especially in regard to twice exceptional students. </li><li>Follows Exceptional Children's Education Act (ECEA) rules and district guidance for identification of gifted and talented students and maintains accurate records of students in need of service </li></ul> <p>What You'll Need:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Hold a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required. A Master's Degree is only required for Concurrent Enrollment positions.</p> </li><li> <p>Have a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license.
