<p>Overview</p> <p>Build something amazing with a furniture assembly job at Jordan's Furniture. No experience required. In this warehouse job, you will assist in handling and assembling furniture prior to delivery. This includes using hand tools and a powered drill, separating recyclable shipping material from opened goods while inspecting for high level or Jordans quality.</p> <p>Jordan's has budgeted the compensation for new hire employees in this position will range from $17.50 to $18.50 and offers promotion opportunities. The schedule is Monday- Friday, 5:30 am - 2:00 pm. Overtime is needed on occasion.</p> <p>Why you will love this job.</p> <ul> <li>Team atmosphere </li><li>Fast paced physical environment </li><li>Career growth </li></ul> <p>Why you will love Jordan's Furniture.</p> <ul> <li>Great benefits- medical, dental, vision and more! </li><li>Weekly pay </li><li>Unique culture </li><li>Employee discount </li><li>On-site gym and cafeteria </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Some of your duties and responsibilities may include:</p> <ul> <li>Performs repetitive opening and assembly of merchandise including a quality check to identify damages/defects at the department minimum production standard. </li><li>Identify sales errors regarding proper set up, color, and description of pieces. </li><li>Transfers and sorts trash and recyclable material to the compactor/baler/EPS area and maintains a clean work area. </li><li>Operates trash compactors, recycling equipment, fork truck and electric pallet jacks as part of the trash and recycling operation. </li><li>Transfer upholstery and bedding from pre stage area to delivery staging area. </li><li>Must unbox and remove recyclables of case good merchandise. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>What you bring to the table:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced physical environment where you are on your feet for 8 hours per day, lifting up to 110 pounds. </li><li>Knowledge of hand and power tools and ability to maintain a department standard. </li><li>Willingness to learn and help wherever needed. </li><li>Reliability </li><li>Safe work habits </li><li>Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
