<p>Why do we need you ?</p> <p>CNC Machinist, 4/10 SCHEDULED MONDAY-THURSDAY 1st SHIFT 6:00AM-4:30PM, $22.00-$43.00 PER HOUR. DOE.</p> <p>The CNC Machinist is responsible for various types of the manufacture, contraction operation, which will include the CNC mills, Haas mill and Lathe CNCs, setup, fixtures and equipment of die-rollers, tools, production parts, etc. The CNC Machinist is accountable for the operation of the CNC machines as well as conventional Machines. Responsible for the complete manufacturing of parts being made in the machine shop area. Will work with the shop manager and associates regarding procurement and stock availability. The CNC Machinist at all times act as a role model of professionalism, ethical behavior, and effective decision making.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>Ensures that all equipment in the CNC area is maintained to operate at the highest level of efficiency</p> <p>Provides all reports accurately and on-time.</p> <p>Read and understand blueprints.</p> <p>Working with associates, peers, and other managers to anticipate problems and plan for upcoming events. Setting objectives and ensuring they are met.</p> <p>Set ups, fixtures and tooling</p> <p>Set ups and operates conventional, manuals machines such as engine lathe, mills, and surface grinder</p> <p>Program and editing and other CNC related duties</p> <p>Performs work according to safety policies and practices related to the position</p> <p>Ensures that the machine shop is clean and organized at all times</p> <p>Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.</p> <p>Is this job for you ?</p> <p>High School Diploma or GED preferred.</p> <p>Minimum 1 year experience in Manufacturing Environment operating inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, CMM, hight gages and comparators is required.</p> <p>3-5 years operating CNC machines is required.</p> <p>Ability to use measurement tools, read blue prints and inspection practices to determine Product dimensions for accuracy.</p> <p>Adhere to all Safety Activities and practices</p> <p>Understanding and ability to Implement 5s principles</p> <p>Makes quality parts that meet customer specifications in a fast paced work environment.</p> <p>Manage time effectively and adhere to schedules in order to meet customer demands without compromising product quality.</p> <p>Read blueprint drawings and work orders to understand and meet customer specifications.</p> <p>Accepts or rejects parts and records inspection results.</p> <p>Learns and performs set-ups with little to no supervision.</p> <p>Use basic computer navigation to input labor and move transactions.</p> <p>Learns and operates multiple pieces of spring fabrication equipment while maintaining production quality standards.</p> <p>Applies problem solving techniques to daily work.</p> <p>Meets daily and ongoing production quotas in a machine-shop production environment.</p> <p>Strives for and promotes a safe and accident free work environment.</p> <p>Strives for and promotes a collaborative work atmosphere.</p> <p>Maintains work area before, during, and after each scheduled shift in accordance with 5S principles.</p> <p>Contributes to team effort by performing other supporting tasks as directed by the Shift Supervisor or Lead.</p> <p>Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.</p> <p>A little more about us</p> <p>If you want to reshape the world and discover your greatest potential, Saint-Gobain provides one-of-a-kind opportunities for innovative problem solvers. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/a quarterly bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 7.5% of the hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs./week * 52wks)) for this position is $45,760 to $89,440.
