<p>If you're the go-to subject matter expert in your finance office and are looking for your next calling, this post is for you! The City of Watertown is looking for Deputy Treasurer/Clerk to support the Finance Office! Interested candidates will manage tax reporting, compiling budget reports, tracking departmental funds while at the same time being able to interface with citizens in the community.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>Under the general supervision of the Finance Director, and in accordance with all laws and statutes of the State of Wisconsin and the policies of the City of Watertown, performs a wide range of clerical and administrative support functions for the Finance Department. Performs the work of the Finance Director or City Clerk as delegated in the absence of these officials. Unless assigned temporarily, there are no supervisory responsibilities. This supporting position is responsible for assisting in the organization, direction, and coordination of all activities of the Finance Department to include processing subsidiary ledger accounting tasks, general ledger financial reconciliation, tax billing and collecting, audit preparation, issuing municipal licenses, and election preparation.</p> <p>A college degree in finance, accounting, public administration, business management, or a related field or minimum of five years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or other financial-based clerical duties; preference will be given to those individuals with municipal finance experience.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>Wage range is $30.23-$31.95 DOQ. Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Income Continuation Insurance, Flex Spending, WRS pension, Deferred Compensation, Holidays, Paid Sick Time, Vacation Time, Tuition Reimbursement.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>Monday through Friday 8-4:30, on site.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>A college degree in finance, accounting, public administration, business management, or a related field or minimum of five years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or other financial-based clerical duties; preference will be given to those individuals with municipal finance experience.</p> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>Apply at https://www.watertownwi.gov/.</p> <p>Deadline to Apply</p> <p>Application will be accepted until position is filled.
