<p>Join our expanding team to bring positive change to the community! Seeking clinicians (LMHP or LMHP-E) to be a part of the continuum of crisis services for New River Valley Community Services. You will work in the community with our law enforcement partners in Radford City serving individuals with serious mental illness in acute crisis who are high risk, in addition to those diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disorders, and substance use or co-occurring disorders.</p> <p>Clinicians work in the field with law enforcement officers responding to 911 calls. As a Co-Responder, you will assess, diagnose, provide crisis intervention services and determine the best next step for an individual. For those individuals who are extremely high-risk it may be determined that hospitalization is needed. Knowledge of community resources, referral agencies and supports will allow you to connect people in crisis with appropriate ongoing clinical treatment options and with agencies that provide support and help decrease symptoms. Knowledge of psychiatric disorders, psychotropic medications, and medical conditions is important in providing care in this role.</p> <p>This position requires non-traditional hours that will include some overnights, weekends, and holiday coverage.</p> <ul> <li>$5,000 Sign on Bonus* </li></ul> <p>Starting Salary: $60,900-Depending on Experience</p> <p>Education Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or other license-eligible human services field required. </li><li>Virginia Licensure as a Professional Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist preferred. </li><li>Certification as a Preadmission Screener is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Additional compensation will be considered for any new employees who speak multiple languages</p>
