The hearth is the center of the home and family life.</p> <p>The Finance Analyst I supports profitable growth by providing financial analysis and insights for a Hearth & Home Technologies business unit. This role is responsible for developing financial tools, building models, and delivering reporting that enables informed decision-making, supports strategic initiatives, and drives business performance.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Perform monthly close tasks and assist with the annual sales compensation process. </li><li>Review monthly general ledger and submit journal entries. </li><li>Prepare Expenditure Authorizations (EA's) for business unit initiatives evaluating overall internal rate of return, net present value, and profitability. </li><li>Evaluate financial effectiveness of programs and promotions. </li><li>Assist in monthly P&L reviews for the assigned business unit. </li><li>Prepare the quarterly and annual budgeting for business unit expenses. </li><li>Prepare financial models to evaluate business opportunities. </li><li>Manage, organize, and update internal sales process data and third party market data used to support business unit performance and decisions. </li><li>Leverage business applications such as Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, OneStream, and Salesforce to analyze and present data effectively. </li><li>Create dashboards and performance reports that integrate internal and external data to support growth initiatives. </li><li>Participate in continuous improvement efforts, providing data and analysis to optimize processes and enhance efficiency. </li></ul> <p>Skills & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated curiosity and a continuous learning mindset. </li><li>Strong communication, collaboration, influence and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Proven analytical and critical thinking abilities with a track record of driving strategic outcomes. </li><li>Ability to work in a dynamic environment while managing project deadlines and competing priorities effectively. </li><li>Ability to engage effectively with leaders and team members across all levels and functions. </li><li>Proactive approach to identifying opportunities and implementing corrective actions. </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience </li><li>0 - 2 years of financial experience including accounting principles and standards and financial reporting & analysis; internship experience strongly preferred </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting and forecasting </li><li>Manufacturing industry experience a plus </li></ul>
