Exposure to an agency's culture, process, procedures, and potential learning opportunities can provide valuable experience to those who may seek permanent employment with the state.</p> <p> </p> <p>This temporary position is located in Raleigh - Wake County. </p> <p>Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $25.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).</p> <p> </p> <p>This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Environmental Quality. This position is located at 217 W Jones St, Raleigh, NC 27603.</p> <p>This position will be assigned to the Division of Air Quality's Business Office and will support the Business Officer II and Division HR Manager. The primary role of this position is to apply accounting knowledge of policies and procedures for processing accounts payables and accounts receivables transactions within the DAQ Business Office and completing monthly bank reconciliations. Completing monthly audit of credit card and ACH payments through payment applications. Uploading, filing weekly and monthly documents into DAQ Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable. Follow retention schedule and purge documents as required. Assisting Business Office staff with reporting, updating spreadsheets, daily deposits, and gathering information for projects. HR Responsibilities include, but not limited to: • Print and/or file documents, create new employee files, maintain all personnel and position files • Update and maintain job descriptions • Monthly service award outreach and certificate/letter printing and create RE & obtain approval for purchase of needed service awards and certificates • Maintain file room to ensure personnel data and records are kept confidential • Archiving and purging of files according to records retention schedule.</p> <p>NOTE: Qualified applicants must meet and CLEARLY reflect on their application training and experience and all knowledge, skills, abilities, and any experience or competencies specified in the posting and/or supplemental question(s) to be considered.
