The APP provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to this patient population in the ambulatory setting.</p> <ul> <li>Performs complete histories and physical examinations </li><li>Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests </li><li>Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings </li><li>Consistently provides high quality and timely documentation </li><li>Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population </li><li>Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Hematology Oncology Advanced Practice Provider</p> <p>Join a supportive Advanced Practice Team in a role supporting the Mass General Cancer Center at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH.</p> <p>This community-based practice specializes in the care of patients with a variety of hematologic oncologic diagnoses. Specifically, this role would focus on both hematologic malignancies and solid tumor patient populations. These teams have a demonstrated history of providing exquisite, evidence-based patient care. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to work in this invigorating and collaborative environment. The hematologic oncologic APP will provide direct care to outpatient patients. With an interdisciplinary team approach, this provider will promote a collaborative relationship between providers, professional nurses, and administrative staff, to ensure continuity of patient care in the management of their disease and related issues as well as to develop expertise in these fields. Within this role, the advanced practice provider will be responsible for a panel of patients. Proficiency with Epic and EMRs preferred.
