Learn more about us at worcester.edu/about .</p> <p>Job Description: Department: Latino Education Institute Job Title: Youth Facilitator Number of Vacancies: 1 SSTA Supervisor: Kathleen Orengo Position Type: Non-Supervisory Number of Hours Per Week: 4-6</p> <p>General Statement of Duties/Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Facilitate small group discussions and model positive behavior and serve as a mentor for program participants.</p> </li><li> <p>Assess group dynamics and collaborate with leadership personnel to create activities for desired outcomes such as relationship building, positive social interaction, and improved self-confidence.</p> </li><li> <p>Foster collaboration and leadership among participants by supporting activities that promote teamwork.</p> </li><li> <p>Meet weekly with the program team to review and update enrollment changes, curriculum modifications, and program needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in required trainings, workshops, conferences or other aspects of professional development including funder sponsored events.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with partners and community organizations to enhance program goals and objectives.</p> </li><li> <p>Attend community events representing the organization upon assignment.</p> </li><li> <p>Report to LEI Administrators any suspicion of child abuse or neglect and any compliance procedures for follow-through. Reference LEI Child Abuse and Neglect Mandated Reporting Protocols & Procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned, including occasional weekend or evening events, supporting other staff and representing the organization upon assignment.</p> </li></ol> <p>Requirements: Qualifications:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Strong work ethic and commitment to positive youth development.</p> </li><li> <p>Success in prioritizing and meeting multiple demands and deadlines.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work some evenings and weekends.</p> </li><li> <p>High School Degree and/or 1 year of experience working with persons from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Reliable access to transportation.</p> </li><li> <p>Bilingual in Spanish preferred</p> </li></ol> <p>Additional Information: Worcester State University is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer which seeks to reflect the diversity of its community.</p> <p>Hourly Rate: $15.00</p> <p>Application Instructions: Students must apply online.
