<p>About the role:</p> <p>The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for supporting and safely maintaining Barry Callebaut equipment to produce the highest quality product. In performing the above function, GMP practices and HACCP requirements are to be satisfied.</p> <p>Key responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance for Barry Callebaut USA operations </li><li>Support production by ensuring the safe and proper operation, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment </li><li>Mechanical troubleshooting, i.e. PLC's, electronics and pneumatics, pumps, gear reducers, etc. </li><li>Generate, complete and close work orders using a computerized maintenance management system </li></ul> <p>About you:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent </li><li>Intermediate computer skills including MS Office, Google Office </li><li>Requires lifting up to 60 lbs </li><li>Minimum of 5 years mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food processing </li><li>Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment, i.e. pumps, seals, bearings, blowers, etc. </li><li>Proficiency in troubleshooting automated processes, installing and repairing new and existing equipment, and responding to machine and equipment issues in all areas of the facility </li><li>Proficiency in pneumatic and electrical troubleshooting and PLCs </li><li>Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical power transmission systems, i.e. chain drives, gearboxes </li><li>Ability to read and follow blue prints, drawings and schematics </li></ul> <p>What you can expect from Barry Callebaut:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package </li><li>12 paid holidays, generous PTO, plus your birthday off </li><li>Environment that welcomes workplace flexibility </li><li>An atmosphere where diversity is embraced, and inclusivity is second nature.
