<p>Description:</p> <p>Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.</p> <p>When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with WCCH policies.</p> <p>Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.</p> <p>Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan results.</p> <p>Ensures proper long term archival of images and documentation in accordance with State and Corprate retention policies.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Minimum Education</p> <p>Graduate of a school of Radiologic Technology/Ultrasound required.</p> <p>Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.</p> <p>Required Skills</p> <p>Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.</p> <p>Venipuncture skills</p> <p>Required Skills</p> <p>Rad Tech I:</p> <p>Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire</p> <p>ARRT (R) or equivalent certification; or if a new graduate, registry eligible and must sit for registry within 90 days of graduation. If fails examination, must sit again within 90 days from date of last test.</p> <p>Rad Tech II:</p> <p>BLS within 30 days from date of hire</p> <p>ARRT(R) or equivalent certification, plus demonstrated competencies in another modality, such as CT, as documented on the job within 45 days of hire.</p> <p>Required Skills</p> <p>Ability to accept on-call assignments for regularly scheduled shifts when acuity and/or census indicates need. Will be available to report to facility within 60 minutes of notification. This status will be determined by Department Director of Administrator on call.</p>
