<p>Position: Audio/Visual Technician</p> <p>Position Type: Temporary, Per Diem</p> <p>Department: Finance and Operations</p> <p>Location: Watertown Public Schools</p> <p>Reports to: Director of Finance and Operations</p> <p>Affiliation: Non-Aligned</p> <p>Salary range: $45.00 per hour</p> <p>General Description:</p> <p>The Audio/Visual Technician(s) provides technological support for renters by overseeing the use of computers, Smart Boards, projectors, DVD players, audio board, control room and related technology. The AV Technician collaborates with the Rentals Manager in the usage of audio/visual technology for WPS rentals.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee the usage of audio/visual technology such as smart boards, laptops, projectors,audio board, rigging, control room or related technology </li><li>Troubleshoot audio/visual hardware and software problems and communicate any issues to renters and the Rentals Manager </li><li>Work with the Rentals Manager to respond to requests for technological support </li><li>Model ethical behavior, skills proficiency and respect towards renters and staff </li><li>Sound reinforcement responsibilities to include: placement and monitoring of microphones </li><li>Equalizing and adjusting of sound frequencies </li><li>Facilitation of translation devices and/or hearing impairment devices </li><li>Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 3 years of audio/visual technology experience preferred </li><li>Degree/certification in Media Production, Technology, Computer Systems or another related technological field preferred </li><li>Citizenship, residency or work visa required </li><li>Reliable transportation to rental location (WPS schools) required </li><li>Ability to work positively and collaboratively on a team </li><li>Interest in continuous professional learning </li><li>Ability to model instruction or training when needed </li><li>Ability to take initiative and be accountable for task completion </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. </li></ul> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer</p> <p>Watertown Public Schools is committed to maintaining a work and learning environment free from discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, pregnancy, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital/civil union status, ancestry, place of birth, age, citizenship status, veteran status, political affiliation, genetic information or disability, as defined and required by state and federal laws.
