<p>Heavy Truck Mechanic prevents and corrects equipment malfunctions for all types of equipment (e.g., mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment), including diagnosing complex equipment problems while following all safety rules.</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Services and oversees repairs of all types of equipment to ensure proper working condition </li><li>Must be familiar with all phases of light, medium, and heavy-duty repairs </li><li>Conducts preventative maintenance to avoid unnecessary repairs and down time </li><li>Performs safety inspections on equipment </li><li>Maintains a safe work environment </li><li>Effectively communicates equipment issues with supervisor </li><li>Adheres to all company, governmental, and equipment related safety requirements </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by the manager </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>5+ years' experience as a heavy equipment/truck mechanic with Diesel equipment or equivalent </li><li>Trade school or technical training desirable </li><li>MUST have own tools </li><li>Class A CDL a plus (or willing to achieve) </li><li>DOT Physical Examination (Medical Card) necessary </li><li>Class 7 State Inspection required </li><li>Mandatory overtime (as needed) </li><li>Exhibit a clear understanding of the necessity of equipment safety and a high level of safety consciousness </li><li>Ability to communicate equipment issues and understand job assignments </li><li>Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment problems </li><li>Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable diving record </li></ul> <p>Muschlitz offers some of the highest wages in the area, and excellent benefits packages including medical, 401K, paid vacation, performance bonuses and more.</p>
