<p>GENERAL SUMMARY:</p> <p>Under direct supervision from a leader on the Leadership Salary Plan grade up to and including M07, provides medical operations support to appropriate clinical department(s) utilizing knowledge of medical terminology and procedures in a hospital, clinic or laboratory environment and conducts special projects as defined and assigned by department(s).</p> <p>From the hiring Manager:</p> <ul> <li>Required experience in surgical scheduling, ideally within a busy orthopedic setting </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as the role involves frequent patient interaction </li><li>Ability to board surgeries efficiently and accurately in EPIC / EMR </li><li>Willingness to travel weekly, though the position is based out of Clinton Township </li></ul> <p>Job Location / Address:</p> <p>Orchard View Medical Complex 12150 30 Mile Road, Suite 105, Washington MI 48095</p> <p>Shift Hours: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm - No weekends</p> <p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>Requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. </li><li>One (1) year of experience within a medical office setting preferred. </li><li>Literacy and experience working with Microsoft Software Programs required. </li><li>Previous experience scheduling appointments/maintaining calendars preferred. </li><li>Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with callers and visitors, and provide information requiring ordinary courtesy and tact. </li><li>Ability to distribute departmental mail and other materials.
