<p>Job Details</p> <p>Job Location: 57 INTERLAKEN RD - STOCKBRIDGE, MA</p> <p>Salary Range: $21.00 - $21.00 Hourly</p> <p>Description</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>The Audio-Visual Lead is responsible for coordinating and leading AV support for all programs, events, and meetings in addition to assisting with all elements of classroom set up. This role co-leads a team of associates in partnership with the AV Supervisor and Production Manager. The AV Lead is also responsible for determining equipment needs and training staff and end users on how to operate AV equipment properly and safely.</p> <p>Accountabilities</p> <ul> <li>Assume a leadership role on the team, encouraging staff to be engaged, motivated, and efficient in supporting Kripalu's mission. </li><li>Responsible for leading shift coverage of day-to-day operations for AV and program support. Ensure effective communication during shift changes. </li><li>Assist with the preparation, planning and execution of department operations. </li><li>Work with the AV Supervisor and Production Manager to develop and maintain departmental systems regarding ordering, receiving, distribution, inventory, repair, and maintenance of supplies and equipment. </li><li>Set up classroom and AV equipment for all programs, events, and meetings. This includes, but is not limited to, seating, yoga props and program supplies, installation and maintenance of microphones, speakers, display devices, projectors, televisions, video cameras, and computers. </li><li>Set up and engineer Livestream Programs and hybrid meetings; support the on-campus delivery of programming to the Kripalu Online Studio </li><li>Set up and engineer live concerts. </li><li>Provide AV system training to staff, faculty, and assistants. </li><li>Interface directly with presenters, presenter assistants, and guests, providing a high level of customer service. </li><li>Understand and troubleshoot A/V issues, procedures, and workflows, completing tasks in a safe, accurate, and timely manner. </li><li>General office duties as assigned (i.e. paperwork, record keeping, filing, photocopying, printing) </li><li>Provide coverage or perform special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned by management, within Production and in other areas of the organization when needed. </li></ul> <p>Core Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated commitment to valuing equity, diversity and contributing to an inclusive environment. </li><li>Possesses strong core ethics, integrity, and values consistent with Kripalu's organizational principles. </li><li>Builds effective relationships, identifies internal and external customer expectations, sees issues from their point of view; offers practical, mutually beneficial recommendations, solutions, and ideas. </li><li>Willingness and ability to be agile in work, supporting across own department as well as across the organization as needed. </li><li>Demonstrates the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform required job elements to established standards, remaining current regarding development and trends in areas of expertise. </li><li>Embraces experiences as learning opportunities. </li><li>Accepts responsibility for personal and professional learning and growth. </li><li>Models the values of Kripalu including service, presence, inquiry, compassion, practice, and integrity. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Strong leadership skills </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team </li><li>Excellent organizational skills, with a high level of attention to detail </li><li>Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks efficiently </li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills; Positive attitude </li><li>Takes initiative and follows through on directed projects </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Associate degree or equivalent experience operating audio-visual equipment for live events to include lectures, concerts and special programming. </li><li>2-3 years' experience as an Audio-Visual Technician. </li><li>Prior experience in a leadership role. </li><li>Prior Livestream and/or Video Production experience; Knowledge of Livestreaming Software/Hardware. OBS, Blackmagic ATEM switchers, Davinci Resolve, PTZ and Canon Cameras. </li><li>Intermediate Word, Outlook, and Excel skills. </li><li>Ability to learn and adapt to new software and technologies. </li><li>Working knowledge of live sound reinforcement, audio and video recording, editing and post-production. </li><li>Excellent knowledge of PC and Apple platforms. </li><li>Working knowledge of projection and display resolutions. </li><li>Working knowledge of PowerPoint, Keynote and other presentation software. </li><li>Working knowledge of web conferencing platforms (i.e. zoom, teams) </li><li>A willingness to work evenings and weekends is essential, as is the flexibility to adjust schedule according to the needs of the events. </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or work on feet for extended periods </li></ul>
