<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of machinery and equipment, with a focus on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience in a machine shop environment, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and equipment care.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment for malfunctions.</p> </li><li> <p>Diagnose issues by listening for irregular sounds and consulting with supervisors or peers.</p> </li><li> <p>Dismantle defective machines and install or repair necessary parts.</p> </li><li> <p>Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machine components.</p> </li><li> <p>Install and repair electrical systems including transformers, wiring, and electronic components.</p> </li><li> <p>Assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Repair and maintain the facility's physical structure.</p> </li><li> <p>Install, program, or repair automated systems such as robots or programmable logic controllers (PLCs).</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a safe working environment by following all FLSmidth safety procedures and regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in cross-training opportunities at the company's discretion to support operational flexibility.</p> </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications & Skills:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School Diploma or GED required.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of 4 years' experience in a general machine shop or industrial maintenance role.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency with plumbing and electrical systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong understanding of health and safety standards related to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and compressed gas systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Competency in using computers for time tracking, email, and internal systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.</p> </li></ul> <p>Reasoning Ability:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.</p> </li><li> <p>Handle problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear.</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally required to sit and detect odors.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.</p> </li><li> <p>Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration.</p> </li><li> <p>Regular risk of electrical shock.</p> </li><li> <p>Occasional exposure to high places, fumes, airborne particles, and outdoor weather.</p> </li><li> <p>Noise level is typically very loud.</p> </li></ul> <p>As an equal opportunity employer, FLSmidth embraces diversity and equality by promoting an environment of inclusion.
