Are you ready to achieve great things with us?</p> <p>HOW YOU CAN MAKE AN IMPACT</p> <p>As a Mechanical Engineer - Vehicle, you will be a member of an international team focused on creating and reviewing efficient designs for state-of-the-art passenger trains, managing complex interfaces, and integrating train systems.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Create, manage and maintain weight distribution lists of railway vehicles </li><li>Coordinate technical and project requirements regarding weight and center of gravity management between internal engineering teams, and suppliers. </li><li>Support bid engineering with new vehicle concepts to meet minimum and maximum mass requirements </li><li>Execute static and dynamic vehicle envelope calculations considering track geometry, vehicle movement and geometric constraints </li><li>Support bid engineering by evaluating potential customer's track geometry and infrastructure </li><li>Ensure compliance with local, federal, and customer requirements </li><li>Define procurement documentation, type testing, and commissioning documentation. </li><li>Support static and dynamic field testing of rail vehicles. Follow scheduling, budgetary goals and guidelines. </li><li>Ensure clear and effective cross-departmental collaboration. </li></ul> <p>HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE</p> <ul> <li>BS or MS degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or similar Engineering discipline. </li><li>0-2 (Level I), 2-5 (II), 5-8 (III), 8-10 (IV), 10+ (Sr.) years of relevant experience in railway, defense, automotive, aerospace or equal </li><li>Experience with analytical calculations </li><li>High attention to detail </li><li>Independent and well-structured working methods </li><li>Able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment </li><li>Self-motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative to maintain project timelines </li><li>Excellent communication, technical writing, and problem-solving skills </li><li>Great 3D and 2D CAD skills (CATIA V5 is a plus) </li><li>Experience working in a PLM system (SmarTeam or TeamCenter is a plus) </li><li>Fluent in English (both verbal and written).
