<p>Department</p> <p>Delivery Room</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Patient Registration Representative is responsible for assisting the patient through the registration process while introducing the patient to the facility in a manner designed to reduce patient anxiety and works with other departments, and serves as a liaison for patients, family of patients, hospital management, and staff to ensure patient satisfaction, experience, and quality of services are maintained and improved upon when possible.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Require high school diploma or equivalent. May substitute two (2) years relevant health care experience for required education.</p> <p>Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Prefer general knowledge of medical insurance and terminology.</p> <p>Prefer ability to communicate with the public in a courteous and professional manner.</p> <p>Prefer experience with patient interviewing.</p> <p>Prefer experience with collecting patient responsibilities at time of service.</p> <p>Prefer strong typing and clerical skills to include speed and accuracy.</p> <p>Prefer flexibility for weekend, holiday, and other shift work as scheduled.</p> <p>Mandatory Education</p> <p>HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate</p>
