<p>Kforce has a client in Halethorpe, MD that is seeking a Controller.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for internal, audit, and tax purposes </li><li>Partner with leadership to improve financial reporting, KPIs, and visibility </li><li>Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and ROI evaluation to support decision-making </li><li>Support cash flow forecasting and liquidity management </li><li>Assist with consolidation and integration of financial results, as needed </li><li>Oversee general ledger accuracy and the monthly close process </li><li>Manage journal entries, reconciliations, account reviews, and reclassifications </li><li>Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules </li><li>Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures </li><li>Review A/R and A/P aging and support cash flow initiatives </li><li>Serve as owner or key user of accounting systems and integrations </li><li>Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and internal controls </li><li>Maintain accurate vendor and customer master data </li><li>Document accounting processes to support scalability and audit readiness </li><li>Act as primary contact for auditors and tax advisors </li><li>Prepare audit schedules, tax support, and required documentation </li><li>Support tax filings and regulatory compliance* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance </li><li>CPA preferred </li><li>5-10 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or FP&A </li><li>Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting </li><li>Advanced Excel skills; experience analyzing large data sets </li><li>Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems </li><li>Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills </li><li>High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment </li></ul>
