Incumbents supervise and provide training and technical assistance to professional audit staff as well as sub-recipients. ?Providing documentation to support corrective and disciplinary actions. ?Signing performance plans and appraisals. ?Resolving informal grievances or formal grievances at the first step. ?Starting the hiring process, interviewing applicants and recommending hires, transfers or promotions. ?The supervisor has authority to plan, organize, assign and direct the work of other agency employees, and is accountable for the work performance of those employees. ?Plans, organizes, assigns and directs the work activities of subordinate staff to realize the unit%26rsquo;s work goals and to ensure the consistent application of unit and/or technical policies, procedures and guidelines. ?Confers with and counsels subordinate staff to exchange information and/or explain work policies, procedures and guidelines; and identify work-related problems, problem characteristics, impact and formulate possible solutions. ?Reviews and compares work performance and/or products of subordinate staff with established standards to determine employee production levels, training needs and to determine for recommendation to agency management appropriate personnel actions such as promotions, disciplinary actions, status changes, separations and grievance dispositions. ?Trains subordinate staff in the work principles, policies and or procedures to maintain and/or improve the production levels of employees in accordance with established work performance standards. ?Determines audit risk for each assignment. ?Plans and conducts audits; coordinates teams and designates tasks; determines procedures for audit team; supervises work of audit team. ?Reviews audit work papers; approves audit reports for release; analyzes audit findings to determine compliance with applicable laws and regulations. ?Compiles audit report, which includes recommendations for corrective action; conducts exit interview to present findings to management for review. ?Participates in negotiation meetings; provides technical support and training as needed. ?Performs parking operation revenue and expense audits; performs car rental agency audits; performs merchandise, food and beverage audits. ?Confers with agencies on-site before and after audit is conducted. ?Reconciles budget to AIMS expenditures. ?Prepares statistical schedules and graphs; prepares annual audit reports; assists in development of quick pay procedures. ?May supervise and coordinate the development, maintenance, execution and distribution of audit software. May work on special projects, as needed. A Bachelor%26rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Business degree with a major in Accounting; plus three years of professional auditing or accounting experience including at least one year supervising or leading/coordinating the work of other auditors.
